How to do Paris with Kids! 🥐 🇫🇷

Highlights from our quick getaway over the half term:

Stay at an Airbnb in the suburbs overlooking a Parisian park — the kids enjoyed watching the French children crossing the park to go to school in the morning — smug in the knowledge that they had a day of leisure and adventure ahead of them.

Take them to the ‘must see’ attractions (Eiffel Tower & The Louvre ) so that they can brag about it in the school playground. Don’t plan to stay for too long, both attractions are super crowded and very touristy.

Take a boat trip on the canal and go underground for part of it! The kids loved this.

Keeping on the underground theme… check out the Paris catacombs, all those spooky tunnels, skulls and bones sparked the children’s imagination — once we got past the entrance area it was un-crowded and nice and cool.

Skulls neatly stacked on a wall of bones.

Visit the ‘Atelier des lumières’ art centre — an immersive music and video exhibition — we saw Cezanne and Kandinsky installations — the children ran around trying to step on all the projections.

Buy fresh baguettes and eat all the patisserie you can get your hands on. :-)

Creme brulee, strawberry pastry and cream, large slice of chocolate cake and pear pie all laid out on a table ready to be tucked into.

Enjoy!
